What is the most important thing you can put in your body to restore your health?
The answer is real food. Yet we are repeatedly told that you can’t eat certain foods because you are taking certain drugs. But the most important thing you can put in your body is real food.
Drugs are not food.
Difference between food and drugs
What’s more important, the drug prescription, or the person taking the drug?
When drugs become more important than food, the individual gets compromised for the sake of how the drug is prescribed.
This is an upside-down way of looking at health.
From this upside down concept of “drugs first, food last,” we develop a vicious cycle. First, wait for symptoms and disease, then take a drug (food doesn’t really matter). Just take an additional drug when you lose more of your health—repeat when more symptoms come.
We need to get back to common sense! We clearly need a better solution to this backwards way of viewing health. The current conventional model of “disease-care,” is the “wait for disease, then take a drug” model.
Only Food Can Give You Health. Drugs Can ONLY Manage Symptoms.
Drugs are not Food! Toxicity is a property of drugs, not food. The body wants to get rid of drugs. Your liver and kidneys must remove them from your body. Drugs force a reaction in your body (they fit an acute disease-care treatment model). The purpose of a drug is narrow and for forcefully changing (treating) a symptom, or a number in a lab test. Drugs force a change.
Food never does that. Food, including natural medicine derived from food concentrates and whole plant extracts (whole plant medicine), is never a treatment for disease. It is a food, whose purpose is wide in nourishing your body. Wholesome food has no toxic residue. Your body doesn’t want to dump-out nutrients; it uses them for repair and growth.
Caution: Food can’t be health-giving if it is toxic from pesticides or herbicides. Toxic Spinach could’ve been healthful if it were grown with Organic Standards.
All pills are not equal. Some are still real food.
Are all pills the same? No. There are differences. Are common vitamin pills food? No, not at all. Commercial “vitamins,” are isolated pieces of things originally discovered in foods, but were separated, synthesized, and put into a pill. Commercial multi-vitamins are not food. The list of ingredients on the label resembles a bunch of chemical names. Can you eat a regular vitamin? No way! Why? Because it is not originally from food.
Whole food concentrates, however, are not isolated pieces of things; they are the whole food, dried and concentrated. If we dry real food at a low temperature and form it into a pill, it would still be real food. The reason for taking whole food as a concentrated pill is for convenience. Otherwise, you would need to store and prepare it to eat every time you take it! All pills are not equal. Here’s the difference: Whole food supplements are not commercial multi-vitamins: they are food, and whole food supplements are not drugs.
Food Is Not A Drug, And A Drug Is Not A Replacement For Real Food.
Consider this: A man has diabetes type II, caused by his diet. He gets drug prescriptions to treat the symptoms, which costs him a large portion of his paycheck. Since he has little money left to spend after buying the drugs, he buys the cheapest, processed and devitalized “food.” He then perpetuates his type II diabetes (T2D), because of his poor diet, instead of reversing insulin resistance via proper diet.
Imagine a person with improving symptoms after starting a medication. She is already getting better, but her doctor increases the dosage because that’s the way the drug is usually prescribed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This doesn’t make any sense, but is common practice with antidepressants. Which is more important: the patient’s wellbeing, or the drug the patient is taking? Ask your doctor! I dare you!
Do you really want “Let DRUGS be thy medicine?” Not me. I hope you will not accept this type of backwards medical system either. It should be the opposite. Let FOOD be thy medicine.
Drugs instead of food
The fundamental problem with patching-up disease by using drugs, is that you forget what builds health in the first place. Do you remember? What does your body need to build health? Do you want to replace it with toxic, counterfeit substances? Regularly taking small amounts of potent toxins can only lead to counterfeit health.
With this backwards “treatment” paradigm, disease must already be present before you can treat anything. Disease takes time to develop before there are any physical changes in your body. Drugs just hide and push away disease symptoms. Furthermore, patching-up problems by using small amounts of potent toxins never gets to the core reasons causing health to decline. Do you want that? I don’t want that!
