leaky gut, bloating

You probably already know there’s a relationship between leaky gut syndrome and autoimmunity. For leaky gut treatment, we look at the common root causes such as food sensitivity, allergies, hidden infections, or bloating.

Leaky gut treatment

You’ve likely been told that you don’t have celiac disease (an autoimmune disease), so you should stop worrying about gluten. If that’s true you have been mislead, and dissuaded from finding the right path to feeling healthy again. Well-meaning doctors may not know about detecting, or treating leaky gut. There’s no established leaky gut treatment, whether it manifests as autoimmunity or not.

Autoimmunity treatment

Doctors who mean well, but know little about autoimmunity may say foods don’t affect your symptoms. That’s Nonsense. What you eat may be affecting your symptoms. Gluten reactivity or cross-reactivity is still possible, even without a celiac disease diagnosis. Autoimmune treatment requires evaluation of this factor.

Autoimmune triggers

What are some autoimmune triggers in the diet? Do you eat processed meat, processed chicken, or processed fish? Examples are chicken nuggets, fish sticks, and imitation crab. You may feel worse within a few days of eating those things. Do you? Food reactions may be delayed. Sometimes it takes up to 8 days to see how you feel.

Do you have unpredictable food reactions? Unpredictable abdominal swelling and bloating, especially after eating? Increasing frequency of food sensitivity? Aches, pains, or swelling throughout your body? If some of your answers are yes, then your body’s reaction to food is important. Additionally, we have to correctly assess if you have leaky gut (leaky gut syndrome) for effective autoimmunity treatment. If leaky gut is present, we have to take the correct actions regarding your condition. This is not a time for a do-it-yourself strategy. There are many aspects to leaky gut.

Blood tests to check for autoimmunity, leaky gut and food sensitivity

There are relatively new blood tests to check for autoimmunity, leaky gut and food sensitivity. When we want extensive immune reaction tests, we can order them for you when you are under our care. Cyrex Labs is still considered relatively new, so there is no insurance coverage to reimburse you for the costs. But this is ok. If insurance were to ever get between you and these tests, it would probably triple the cost.

Your doctors may not know anything about blood tests from Cyrex Labs. Doctors would only know about these newer lab tests if they study leading-edge scientific literature about autoimmunity (not common).

Non-Lab guidance for integrative autoimmunity treatment and leaky gut treatment

It may take decades before medical practice catches-up with the scientific forefront. That means the research being published today won’t reach medical practice for another 15 years. However, you don’t have to wait. We use nutrition response testing—time-tested, non-invasive, in-office tests—for deeper insight to the most helpful strategy for healing. It is an additional way to know more about the nature of your autoimmunity. Integrative autoimmune treatment methods use no drugs, nothing harmful, we only use health promoting methods.

Autoimmunity is not the same as autoimmune disease

Autoimmunity does not have enough tissue destruction to call it autoimmune disease. No prescriptions are available for autoimmunity treatment. Medications suppress symptoms, but your underlying condition remains the same.

That’s not our limitation with functional medicine, integrative treatments, and dietary choices. We don’t rely on symptom-numbing drugs to help you.
